Named one of StyleCaster’s Top 25 IT Kids of 2011 for “inspiring us with innovation," Sabrina Caluori embodies the future of what social media executives will be, today. When she first came to HBO in 2007, flashy one-off Myspace pages ruled the landscape, Twitter was no more than a buzz-word, and Facebook had only just begun building its ad platform. Foreseeing potential, Caluori swiftly brought social media in-house and built a team of passionate, creative upstarts to help her see the vision through. Since then, HBO has emerged as a trendsetter in the social space with a footprint that’s grown to over 55 million fan connections. The brand itself is among the Top 10 Media Brands on Facebook, and wracks up awards every year – from Webbys to OMMAs to Shortys. Tackling pro-bono projects for the Hetrick-Martin Institute, the world’s leading LGBTQ youth organization, and possessing a fierce passion for social good proves that Caluori lives and breathes what she professes. Sabrina Caluori’s tireless creative vision and keen strategic insight has led to over 20 prestigious awards including a Cannes Lion, several Webbys, a Billboard Award for Most Innovative Use of Technology, and multiple Shorty Awards. She has also been a social media panelist at Mashable, Promax, the ANA and SXSWi. Caluori currently serves as the Vice President of Social Media and Performance Marketing at HBO where she is responsible for the social media strategy of over 40 brands and properties. She also oversees traffic driving initiatives to HBO's digital platforms including SEO, SEM and content syndication. In May of this year, Caluori was responsible for the concept, build and launch of HBO's innovative social TV website, HBO Connect. From 2003 to 2007, Caluori headed the account team at interactive agency Deep Focus. In that role, she used her unique ability to marry digital media, creative and publicity to create integrated, buzz-worthy marketing campaigns for clients such as HBO, Miramax, Google, Court TV and Comedy Central.
