Cheerios’ mission is to spread positive energy by inspiring people to do more good, because when you start with good, it grows and goes around. In 2017, Cheerios partnered with one of the most positive and inspirational voices in the nation to do just that, Ellen DeGeneres.
Utilizing the massive reach that The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Ellen Digital Network garner, together, through robust creative integrations, Ellen and Cheerios inspired fans to complete over one million acts of good resulting in a total of over 8 million Cheerios boxes sold! Turns out, doing good is really contagious, and we weren’t ready to stop at one million!
After surpassing our initial goal, together ELLEN + Cheerios shifted our focus on inspiring the next generation of kindness ambassadors and champions for good! Kicking off Season 16 in 2018, we honored kids, educators and parents that were actively creating the next Generation Good. Like Naomi Wadler, who just at 11-years-old inspired the next generation of social activists with her captivating speech at the March for Our Lives rally. ELLEN and Cheerios kept this going by giving Naomi Wadler her very own digital series, DiversiTEA where she chats with celebrities and other influential people about important issues currently facing not only our youth, but all generations all while encouraging the march towards a better tomorrow.
All throughout Season 16, we kept the Generation of Good inspiration going on The Ellen Show and across ELLEN’s digital platforms sparking huge social chatter because, after all, doing good makes you feel good.
Throughout the Season, The Ellen Show shared the most captivating Generation Good stories, like the Daniels Family, who did everything they could for others, all while having a little themselves. Together ELLEN and Cheerios rewarded the Daniels’ actions by gifting them $500,000 and another $500,000 to continue to pay it forward! Through the digital series, Do Good Daniels, fans were to follow along as they helped deserving people in their community, reminding us all that the good goes ‘round!
Through this collaborative partnership, not only was ELLEN able to build on the good momentum established in the first year, but also inspire the next Generation of Good because when you start with good, the good goes around.
