CancerSmart is a patient education series produced by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. It is is a series of programs open to the public and online where MSK experts discuss the latest information on cancer-related topics, as well as advances in diagnosis, treatment, and research.
The multimedia team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center brings online viewers inside our institution whether it be to the lab, to the clinic space and even to the kitchen. The research gathered from feedback from our audience reveals the audience is now primarily virtual. Our viewers watch CancerSmart via webcast and Facebook Live. Our goal is to create highly produced, educational content that viewers can learn from and engage with. Our audience ask questions virtually in real time. Our CancerSmart En Español and CancerSmart: In the Kitchen with MSK are two examples of how we take a topic and expand it into a program that captivates our viewers while also being informative and compelling.
Our Facebook audience enjoyed and engaged with the In the Kitchen CancerSmart. That program had over 500 likes, comments and shares. The average watch time for the In the Kitchen CancerSmart had a 7 minute average watch time for the webcast. Our CancerSmart En Español is the first Spanish language CancerSmart we produced and the average watch time for the CancerSmart En Español webcast was 6 minutes.
