Objectives

Through The Momkind Project™ we envision a better world for all parents. Our purpose is to empower, support and educate parents throughout their journey of parenthood. Through this campaign, our objective is to educate parents on the importance of safe sleep practices for infants, offer tips for healthy pregnancies and provide helpful information on successful breastfeeding from the start in the hospital. Every year in the U.S. more than 4,500 infants die suddenly of no immediate, obvious cause. The majority of these deaths are the result of unsafe sleep practices and are preventable. Breastfeeding is not always easy. The award-winning Boppy® Feeding & Infant Support Pillow is an essential tool for nursing moms and is recommended by family, friends and doctors alike. Research suggests that 88.4% of Moms who used the Boppy® HC Pillow left the hospital successfully breastfeeding compared to 62.3% who used bed pillows. While educating parents and bringing awareness on all of these issues are important, we also want to donate products to parents in need. The goal was to reach over 100k parents and donate over $1,500.00 worth of Boppy® Pillows.

Strategy and Execution

We executed a Social Campaign that brought awareness through consumer engagement and product donation. The campaign was advertised as a questionnaire in order to donate products to families in need. The questionnaire asked questions about safe sleep practices, healthy habits during pregnancy and breastfeeding tips and stats. At the end of the questionnaire participants were given the correct answers, thus educating and reinforcing safe sleep practices.

Results

At the end of the 2-week campaign we saw 135k impressions and were able to donate $1,600.00 of Boppy® Pillows to parents-in-need. The questionnaire was a great way to create consumer engagement, while sharing valuable information.
