To drum up nostalgia and excitement for Teen Wolf: The Movie, we took our fans back to the hallways of Beacon Hills High School on a virtual scavenger hunt.
Fans were prompted to hunt for Teen Wolf-themed items in lockers throughout the hall, and each clue opened up to a note about the item and a quote from the original series. Once fans located all six clues/items, they were able to snap a photo of themselves for their very own Beacon Hills High School student ID card that they were then able to share across their social accounts. This allowed fans to join together on social and share their findings and ID cards and encourage them to reminisce about the series ahead of the movie drop. As Teen Wolf has always been an interactive property in the digital space, we wanted to provide our audience with more than just a filter — this filter was a true gamified experience that ended in a fun shareable takeaway that helped spread the pack mentality across platforms.
In its first 24 hours of launch, an impressive 53K opened the filter and 12K users had taken videos or images using it – the filter saw over 10K impressions that first day and is one of our most-used effects on the platform.
