Korn Dogs

Entered in Instagram Presence

Objective

The only positive to come out of the pandemic is what it transformed our company into. Korn Dogs originally started off as a dog walking service however we realized everyone was home to walk their own dog. So we had to come up with something creative and different. We now have a waitlist to join our dog playgroups! We come to pick them up so they can have fun with their friends while their parents work. Our goal from day one has been to capture the personalities of each dog through pictures and videos on our Instagram - to feel as though you know the dog yourself. With that comes witnessing new friendships, joy, our enthusiastic passion for the work, and building a community of our own. Clients eagerly wait for the end of the day to be tagged in our Instagram story so they can share it with their followers. My favorite part is when someone tells us they follow us on Instagram and share the names of dogs they love to watch on it! They feel personality connected to the company without even having a dog of their own.

Strategy

For our pictures and videos we never pass up a good theme.. especially a pop culture one. Most recently when the Barbie movie came out we hand made a large Barbie box for the dogs to take pictures in! The reaction of these clients receiving these pictures mid day?? It made every moment being covered in pink paint the night before worth it. They sent these pictures to their kids at college, grandparents, or posted to their own social media accounts to show friends! We have had clients tell us how much these pictures mean to them and their family. When a dog passes it's our pictures and Instagram stories about their life they hold onto dearly. Other themes we hop on board for are a summer tiki bar, pool pawty, back to school pictures, Halloween costumes, winter wonderland and many more.

Results

Another aspect you can grasp from our Instagram is our love for charity work. The Korn Dog community is always willing to help out a charity we pick each winter. Last year we gave our towns local shelter 400 items off their wish list with the help of our clients. Every animal there got a toy for Christmas because of it (even the cats). We posted to instagram the pictures of the dogs getting to see all the new toys waiting for them and the ones who donated felt such satisfaction and warmth to see this!! Our community is always willing to help out other dogs in need but the real reason it truly works is the power of Instagram stories and for them to visually see the impact they are making. It truly makes a difference. No matter how much we grow through out the years we will always keep our personal touch via Instagram.
