Pile of Scrap is a podcast presented by Sierra International Machinery to showcase the individuals within the recycled materials industry. Pile of Scrap: The Interview was a commercial to tease who our next possible guests could be. However, in this scenario, the podcast host, John Sacco, interviews "himself" as Steve Irwin, Bill Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and George Harrison.
The biggest challenge with filming this commercial was making the interviews feel as realistic as possible. Each scene was improved entirely, so there was no script to follow. The character scene was filmed and then played back to John during the takes as himself, and despite the challenge, he made the interviews/conversations feel natural and realistic.
