After decades of anticipation, Arcade1Up launched a remastered version of the much beloved NFL Blitz Legends arcade cabinet. We set out to ignite huge fanfare across sports and gaming fan communities alike with compelling creative, uniquely engaging gamers across organic and paid channels - including a jumbotron moment at Dolphins stadium.
The original NFL Blitz game was iconic in the 90s and continues to have a huge fandom and following surrounding it, so we developed our strategy around nostalgia for the original game and its classic elements, while emphasizing the new features. We built the campaign featuring actual NFL legends from the game itself, scripting fresh, playful content that incorporated memorable moments from their NFL careers for a personalized storytelling experience. We templatized a cohesive look-and-feel across paid social, jumbotron, and in-store creative, infusing iconic gaming elements and nostalgic messaging across all placements.
Our campaign successfully reached all of our target audiences - sports fans, family audiences, gamers, and Gen Z demographics alike. Our work was featured in numerous press outlets, including the Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, Hypebeast, and Good Morning America. One of our paid social assets, “Unveiling The Cabinet” outperformed all paid creative to-date, sustaining strong ROAS for months on end. Within 7 days of posting organic TikTok creative, we increased Arcade1Up’s followers by 5%, and overall the campaign increased the brand’s Instagram following by over 15%. In Hard Rock Stadium, our jumbotron creative was viewed by roughly 50K people, and the content we posted in collaboration with Deion Sanders and Dan Marino reached approximately 2M fans online.
