MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge

Objectives

The idea driving our project was to create a unique and exciting gaming experience for MrBeast's audience in Fortnite. Our goal was to create a tournament setting where players could compete for a chance to win one million dollars while driving players toward Fortnite and MrBeasts channels. We aimed to deliver a high-quality experience that would challenge and entertain players while providing a platform for a thrilling competition.

To achieve this goal, we carefully planned and executed a series of elements to bring the game to life. This included the creation of the MrBeast's Extreme Survival Challenge map, social media promotions, and working with MrBeasts team on an official YouTube video on the game.

We wanted to make sure that players had fun and felt like Jimmy (MrBeast) himself built the map. This is why we made such an effort to recreate so many of his videos within the game. While playing, players could find 100s of easter eggs pointing back to Jimmy’s history as a YouTuber.

Strategy and Execution

Bringing MrBeast's Extreme Survival Challenge to life was a truly remarkable journey that involved careful planning, skilled execution, and a deep passion for creating authentic games. Our goal was to create a game that would captivate players, provide an enjoyable gaming experience, and offer a chance to win a life-changing prize – one million dollars.

The first step in bringing our project to life was research. We worked hard alongside Epic Games and MrBeast’s team to research MrBeast's brand and the target audience to better understand what was expected 

from the game. This research helped us determine the unique features that would set our game apart and make it an enjoyable experience for players.

Once we had a clear understanding of what was expected, we created a comprehensive design document that outlined the game mechanics, levels, and other critical elements. This document served as a roadmap for our team as we worked to bring the game to life. Our design document was a crucial tool that helped us ensure that the game would meet all of our goals and the expectations of MrBeast's audience.

The execution phase of the project involved a talented team of game developers and artists who worked together to create a high-quality gaming experience. Our team utilized Fortnite which is built on Unreal Engine to create a visually stunning and immersive game world that would captivate players. The process of creating the game was a challenging but enriching experience, and we are proud of the results.

Two of the most significant challenges we faced during the development of the game were 1) ensuring that the game would run smoothly on a variety of different devices. To overcome this challenge, we thoroughly tested the game on a range of devices and optimized the performance as needed to ensure that the game would run smoothly on all devices. 2) Ensuring that what we built would be authentic and engaging towards the loyalist of MrBeast fans. To overcome this challenge, we thoroughly researched and planned out the visuals to ensure that 

The key features of our game include its engaging gameplay, captivating story, and stunning graphics. The game has been designed to be accessible to players of all ages and skill levels, while also offering a challenge for experienced gamers. Our goal was to create a game that would be enjoyed by players of all backgrounds, and we believe that we have achieved that goal.

We're proud of what we've created and believe that it offers a unique and enjoyable gaming experience for MrBeast's audience. The tournament was an unforgettable event and sent lasting ripples through the community. 

Results

The results of our activation met our team's objectives in several key ways. First and foremost, we were able to create a unique and exciting tournament setting that was specifically designed for MrBeast's audience. We created a one-of-a-kind gaming experience that was unlike anything else available in the game, specifically designed to appeal to MrBeast's fans.

Additionally, we were able to successfully run the tournament and award the one million dollar prize to the player with the highest score on the leaderboard. This was a major milestone for our team, as it showed that we could deliver on our promise to create a high-stakes and engaging tournament for MrBeast's fans.

Furthermore, the feedback we received from players was overwhelmingly positive. They praised the game for its high level of challenge and fun, and many of them commented on how much they enjoyed the tournament and the MrBeast's Extreme Survival Challenge map. This feedback was especially gratifying, as it confirmed that our efforts to create a unique and exciting gaming experience for MrBeast's fans were a success.

Overall we received the highest player counts and playtime in a Fortnite Creative tournament to date, we drove 18 million views to the official video within the first month - effectively increasing subscribers for MrBeast Gaming channel, and drew in over 100 million impressions - driving more traffic towards Fortnite.
