Moves that Electrify

Kia’s favorite NBA moves are the pass and the drive. But there are so many more moves that inspire fans to jump up out of their seats. This campaign demonstrates Kia’s own power and grace by having a car emulate some of the game’s freshest moves.

We created 3 short video assets plus various still assets and behind-the-scenes footage to be leveraged across IG, TikTok and other social platforms. Our goal was to increase engagement and impressions on Kia’s social channels.


Strategy and Execution

While Kia is upfront and center in signage and logo placement, it is still finding its feet for contextual, authentic basketball creative.

To stay ahead of the competition, NBA players have a history of creating unique and innovative moves. To celebrate the NBA Finals and leverage the launch of the Kia EV6, we paired a red and a blue EV6 (representing the NBA Eastern Conference and Western Conference colors) to perform their precision moves against each other and show how exciting Kia’s all-electric vehicles can be.

Using Kia’s proving grounds located in the desert, we hired a top stunt coordinator and driver team to choreograph and emulate well-known NBA moves for the cars. We captured the dynamic footage with a combination of a chase car and high-speed drones.



The “Moves that Electrify” social posts garnered 7,192 engagements,  4% ER, and 181K impressions.
