Objectives

As one of the nation’s top energy companies, Southern Company wanted to boldly lead the conversation around the human impact of climate change during Earth Month.

Strategy and Execution

Mother Earth is a collaborative showcase page on LinkedIn that keeps its followers in the know about green job opportunities, sustainable innovations, and other impactful actions from around the world.

This page was strategically conceived as a PR device capable of shifting the climate change narrative, moving from the withered, once-a-year, abstract slogan: Save the planet on earth day, to a gutsy, ongoing, and more relatable experience that feels close to us, individually: Save yourself doing your job every day.

In this ongoing initiative, we keep followers in the know about green job opportunities, educate them about climate change and post about sustainable innovations and actions from around the world. Mother Earth champions all the ‘good energy’ that Southern Company and others are putting toward the environment.

Results

To date, Mother Earth has garnered 17mm impressions and promoted over 300,000 jobs each day to 31,314 unique visitors to the page. Helping Southern Company lead the conversation around the human impact of climate change by inviting us all to be part of the solution, and facilitating long-lasting tools to help us do our part.
