Harry Potter Magical Movie Moments: Season 2

Objectives

In Season 2, Harry Potter Magical Movie Moments continue to drive awareness for kid-targeted, product-focused content that supports the toy business across multiple toy licensees in order to reach and develop the next generation of Harry Potter fans. Our secondary objective is to drive awareness and increase purchase intent with Millennial Fans and Parents. 

 

Strategy and Execution

Harry Potter Magical Movie Moments recreate fan-favorite movie moments from the Harry Potter film series in a reimagined way. By coupling imagination and play, some of the most iconic scenes from Harry Potter have been recreated...with toys! Using Stop Motion Animation and Live Action scene recreations, we celebrate the franchise and keep the fandom alive. 

Working with the Wizarding World YouTube channel, we released 2-5 minute videos weekly from August to December (key sell-through and high viewership time periods). 

Additional promotion aggregated across our O&O social channels (TW, IG, FB, TT) reaching parents of kids ages 6-12 as well as existing fans of the franchise. 

After the initial release in North America, we localized, translated, and dubbed the content in 6 languages releasing it on our O&O YT channels globally. 

Results

TO INCREDIBLE SUCCESS, Harry Potter Magical Movie Moments are highly engaging, highly efficient videos that both fuel the fandom of existing fans and create the next generation of loyalists.

Over 35 MM Views Globally, and over 40MM impressions on YouTube in NA alone with over 50% VTR (significantly higher than YT average of 15% VTR) -- in addition to 11MM impressions, 400k Engagements, and 4MM Videos Views aggregated across social channels.
