Objectives

Okay, we’re a tad baby crazy with little Henry in the mix so you’ll excuse the bad metaphor, but Joe and Love as parents really got us thinking about child-rearing when it comes to our social following. We must nurture them, keep them stimulated, help them grow and never neglect them… and have fun doing it! 

Strategy and Execution

Throughout Season 3, we continued to build and reward our fans in three ways. First, we created assets that go beyond what viewers see when watching. With custom pieces, artful graphics, dynamic A/V, and exclusive photography, we put out exciting and instantly shareable pieces that one can only get from following @younetflix. 

Second, we created more interactive and engagement opportunities for our fans to @ us. We know we’re good at driving content to our fans, but with our handles, it is always a two-way street. From asking for their help in decorating baby Henry’s nursery to building out an interactive waiting room where fans could engage with a variety of content before a special screening, we gave them more tools than ever before to ensure that YOU content live on their feeds and help them evangelize the show.

Finally, Joe Goldberg may be too sus for social, but @YOUNetflix is nothing if not for a consistently relevant and active part of online culture. Whether it’s cranking out the latest YOU take on a hot meme or engaging with our superfans as much as our superstar fans (looking at you Cardi B, okurrr?), our handles always keep a finger on the cultural pulse and know how to capitalize on a moment.

Results

The proof is in the people: our fans love the YOU Handles. They’ve called our account “iconic,” our activations “masterpieces,” begged to be our besties, and with the amount of raises they’ve said we deserve, it’s almost unreal that we’re not bringing in money that would even make the wealthy Quinn family envious. Our community management continues to bring in more and more fans to the YOUniverse, with our handles growing nearly 400K followers over the course of Season 3, for a total count of 1.9M followers across our handles. As well as earning headlines with our CM efforts all over from E! to MTV to Vulture to CNN.
