The Simpsons EMEA Launch on Disney+

Objective

In March of 2020, The Simpsons became available to stream on Disney Plus in Europe. The objective was to create a campaign that informed European audiences and that created a big impact in an organic way that directly connected to the region.

Strategy

The Simpsons team created a custom illustration of the Simpsons family that also included drawings of popular European influencers from the region. We then implemented a wide digital distribution strategy across multiple channels, including the European social brand handles—such as Disney+ Italy and France— as well as on the pages of the influencers featured. This allowed us to broaden our amplification to not only Disney+ and Simpsons fans, but also audiences that talent reached.

Results

The custom static illustration received an overwhelming positive response from European fans who were ecstatic about the series finally being available on the streaming service. Seeing an asset featuring a beloved IP with some of their local influencers felt personal to their regions.
