In January 2020, Logitech attended CES in Las Vegas. By having a presence at the event, Logitech wanted to drive broad-scale awareness that it is a player in the streaming space, as well as encourage online and on-the-ground audiences to engage with the brand on social media.
Logitech featured select streamers and leveraged and engaged the onsite CES audience with live, eye-catching content from the show floor. It also leveraged its social media channels to entice viewers to engage for the chance to win a prize-pack each day. The brand used the hashtag #StartAFollowing to do so, and published posts through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Instagram Stories. It also live-streamed from the event on Logitech G’s Twitch channel, which was restreamed to other brand channels such as Blue Microphones.
Logitech also partnered with influencers to broadcast its efforts. Influencers helped to attract CES attendees to its booth, create daily streams to feature on their own social accounts, and showcase different streamers each day to position Logitech as a one-stop-shop for streamers and content creators looking to stand out from the crowd and #StartAFollowing.
Attendees were encouraged to share a selfie or picture of the live stream/booth streaming setups to share with the #StartAFollowing hashtag on their social channels to be entered to win the on-site giveaway. Attendees shared their pictures with #StartAFollowing at the functioning recording section or the display section of the booth. Most users were pointed to the display sections.
Logitech also hosted giveaways for their At-Home followers. It posted a daily giveaway announcement at the start of each day with different calls to action. Winners were randomly chosen for each of the four days of CES. Sample CTAs included posting a comment about why people should follow you or tagging someone who inspires you to #StartAFollowing.
