We wanted to continue to improve the lives of our Gen Z audience by amplifying unheard voices. We measure how we’re doing this by assessing views, site visits, and by painstakingly documenting what we consider positive impact. For the In The Know Changemakers initiative, we sought to highlight the most impactful LGBTQIA+ voices that we've profiled over the years.
To accomplish our goal, we collected our most powerful stories centered around the LGBTQIA community and put them under one easy to find link, intheknow.com/changemakers/lgbtqia-stories/. We also made "Changemakers" a menu option at the top of our homepage to streamline the search process.
These stories have been very well received by the ITK audience, which garners over 1 billion video views a month across platforms. Our efforts to highlight marginalized communities have lead to a greater viewership of our Pride content.
