Objectives

The goal of Disney+ social is to create content that brings together the stories from the expansive Disney library that the service has to offer for new and old fans.

Strategy and Execution

Disney+ has a unique voice across all social platforms—showcasing original content, contributing to trending moments, and being a place for all Disney brands (Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic and Disney). Each channel has its own platform-specific strategy. Twitter as a destination for real-time conversations, Instagram is utilized for our visual pieces, and Facebook is home to long-form videos. Collectively, these pages bring the Disney+ library together with digital storytelling.

Results

The social pages for Disney+ were launched in November of 2019 and as of Jan 2021, have over 7.4M followers just domestically. The pages have supported the growth of the streaming service which currently has over 74M subscribers.
