Objectives

60 Second Docs is a short documentary series that offers a window into the real stories of the world’s most interesting and unusual characters. With 700+ episodes released to date, and characters as varied as “Air Guitar Champion” and “Water Sommelier”, 60 Second Docs is the top performing digital docuseries in the world.

It is designed for social sharing and distributed natively across social media (Facebook, Instagram, Stories, Reels, IGTV, Snap Discover, Imgur, Giphy) to reach Millennial and Gen Z audiences on the platforms where they’re most motivated to engage.

We’ve produced stories on virtually every continent including some of the world's least understood subcultures. Through shining a light on these amazing characters we look to help our audience better understand the world. 

Strategy and Execution

60 Second Docs has worked to expose a new generation of audiences to the documentary genre on social media by creating short-form, high-impact, original documentaries on the world’s most interesting characters. We make films, not “social video” and that commitment to story has led to unprecedented growth. 

In all, we’ve produced 700+ documentaries — delivering billions of views to an engaged community of Millennials and Gen Z. We lead with story, but also leverage a proprietary process for A/B testing, optimizing for virtually every aspect of video creative and distribution.

We have a world class research and production team tasked with discovering and identifying engaging story opportunities, while leaning on historical insights, and community analytics to optimize per platform. 

Results

60 Second Docs has developed a highly engaged audience across channels, garnering enormous viewership, passionate community, and high brand awareness.

In 2020, despite the challenges of COVID-19, 60 Second Docs released 151 new episodes, garnering 2.12B total video views with 99% of viewership organically driven.

Our audience grew by 20%. Through 60 Second Docs Official Selection, we released an additional 20+ docs, from some of our favorite filmmakers. 

We were also able to execute numerous campaigns on behalf of our brand clients, leveraging our careful COVID-19 protocol compliant physical production strategy, and proven track record of success, to drive unprecedented impact.
