Objectives

Create excitement and interest in a revolutionary checking and savings product (that happened to have been developed 10 years ago), to change people’s minds about what their bank can and should do for them.

Strategy and Execution

We recognized the tension between how much the world has changed, and how high expectations have become, and yet, many people haven’t changed their bank account in years.

To dramatize the point, we leaned into the element of nostalgia, emphasizing the stark contrast between how things used to be done and how they’re done now.

Results

We were one of the first and best uses of Instagram Stories, and it wound up contributing to a 7x increase in applications from social media channels, with over half coming from Instagram Stories.

The acquisition numbers from Instagram Stories are considered best in class on the platform across categories (as stated by IG).
