The world of Pokémon is filled with a variety of characters, some well-known in the pop culture world, but many that needed an introduction to the broader audience. We had to create a way to introduce and re-introduce the main characters of Pokémon Detective Pikachu in a unique way.
Our “Casting Sneak Peak” was a fun and engaging way to bring the Pokémon characters to life for those who were just meeting them for the first time. Framing the video around a casting call allowed us to visit multiple characters in a medium-length video without overwhelming fans. Intercutting the casting call with clips from the film teased how these characters would come alive, all the while generating excitement amongst hardcore fans of the franchise by showcasing the detailed characteristics of each one.
