But MrBeast took this to new heights when he hit the astonishing 20M subscriber mark, setting a goal for himself and his followers: raise $20M to plant 20M trees by 2020 in a project he called #TeamTrees. Using the connective powers of the internet, he called upon his massive fanbase and his fellow creators to help raise money and plant trees. On December 28, 2019, he posted a video announcing that they reached their goal, bringing about much needed aid for the environment.
