The Story of the Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit

Logitech G believes that life is more fun when you play. Gaming is diverse, and play is universal. As a leading player in the gaming industry, Logitech G has the ability - and we think responsibility - to help evolve and shape the gaming community to be more inclusive and diverse. 

 

The Adaptive Gaming Kit is an example of our commitment to bring play to all. The kit is designed to unlock the full potential of Xbox Adaptive Controller allowing people with different accessibility needs more easily experience the joy of play. 

 

Our launch strategy focused on a video that both told the story of why products like these are needed, as well encouraged the industry at large to do more to meet the needs of this portion of the gaming community. 

Why does this entry deserve to win?

The Adaptive Gaming Kit is the perfect complement to the Xbox Adaptive Controller (XAC), and allows gamers with varied abilities to #KeepPlaying. Logitech G partnered with Microsoft, along with Able Gamers, Special Effect, and Mt. Sinai, to both provide feedback on the product during development, but also to tell the story of this product, from a very genuine place. The resulting video helped communicate our commitment to inclusivity, accessibility and diversity in gaming, and highlighted that through voices from the industry and community to explain why products for this segment of the community are so important.

Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit is a result of our design and engineering expertise, and  our vision for a more inclusive gaming community. It is designed to be a simple, flexible, and robust solution to further expand the possibilities of play of the Xbox Adaptive Controller.

Results

The community reacted very positively to the Adaptive Gaming Kit when we launched the product in November. Our campaign on social channels generated just over 500k engagements and over 10.3 million impressions. What was very touching is that the content from one of the influencers we worked with was our most engaging post of 2019 on Instagram. The community loved hearing his story and why the Adaptive Gaming Kit made a difference for him, and what it meant to him to be part of the campaign.
