Create a visually compelling Date Announcement for the launch of Everything Sucks.

Strategy and Execution

There are viral videos showing younger generations items from the 90's and they are genuinely perplexed. The decade was far from the hi-tech times of today and in hindsight that was awesome: slower speeds, sans cell and simply simpler. We leaned into this notion, creating a pop-up video style teaser that highlights the differences between teen culture in the 90s and today.

Results

Fans congregated around the nostalgic references and feels, and at the time of it's launch, this was the most viewed date announce Netflix had ever released.
