With Liza Koshy attached to the revival of Nickelodeon's Double Dare, we had a unique opportunity to connect a beloved show with one of the most relevant stars of this generation. Liza was uniquely suited to usher Double Dare into the hearts and minds of kids everywhere, and our job in social was to create opportunities for Liza's authentic voice to shine through. On our platforms and hers, Nickelodeon's job was clear - use Liza across all platforms to help introduce and excite kids about the return of arguably the most beloved game show of all time.
- Pairing Liza with the infamous Marc Summers to co-host, allowed us to position Liza as our "kid ambassador" - introducing the show to today's kids through funny vignettes that were distinct to Liza's brand. Kids got to discover all of the messy, over-the-top aspects of the show through the authentic exuberance and innocent fun that only Liza could provide.
- From set tours, to obstacle demonstrations, Liza was fearless in her approach - being real, and getting real messy. Her fresh take on video fused perfectly with Double Dare and was intended to resonate with kids - and resonate it did.
- Liza found a great comedic partner in Marc Summers, who willingly played the elder statesmen yet extremely analog "Dad" role - with Liza playing the young, cool, plugged in host-with-the-most. This dynamic was something we played into as much as we could, and proved to be successful with our adult and kid targets.
Overall, we are extremely pleased with the performance of Liza's content. As we had hoped, fans LOVE her and she instantly brought credibility and relevance to this beloved franchise.
