Objectives

Trailblazers is a branded podcast that tells stories of industry disruption. With each GIF, we distill disruptive tipping points into animated stories that give our audience visually captivating signal of each episode's content, a supplemental point of engagement for listeners, and chance to showcase the warmth and tone of Trailblazers as a forward-thinking podcast about forward thinkers.

Strategy and Execution

When we started Trailblazers, there was a strategic need to identify and evolve a tone and aesthetic. Yes, Trailblazers is a podcast focused on aspirational achievement –
but it's ultimately a podcast about curiosity. How did we get here? Where are we going next? The GIFs play on that curiosity with an almost child-like sense of wonder and whimsy, and nods to the sweeping movement of industry disruption with stop-motion animation. With custom designs and executions for each episode, it was important to incorporate these unifying themes (vibrant color, layered real and graphical elements) while continuing to elevate and evolve the work as we continued to hone in on how we want to ultimately tell our stories. These were pushed out into social for promotion, and splashed upon each episode page on DellTechnologies.com for visual engagement accompanying long-form episode-centric content.

Results

Trailblazers continues to be a runaway hit in the branded podcast lane, and these animated GIFs receive rave reviews from our team, have helped redefine and recontextualize the Dell Technologies brand in terms of color, tone and content …
and have generated interest and engagement on social platforms, driving additional subscribers and downloads.
