HBO and GLOW developed a unique visual identity for a new series launch that centers on the stand-up comedy community in New York City.
Drawing from themes in the show we created a system of graphics that showcase the authentic experience of an aspiring comedian.
Our creative approach had a distinctly scrappy, DIY feel - inspired by the way an aspiring comedian might promote himself - with the design calling back to the handmade promo flyers that feature prominently in the show, and placed within the landscape of New York City.
Over the course of season one, we saw an average fan growth of 360% on Twitter and 206% growth on Facebook.
