St. Regis Hotels & Resorts: Tony Kelly Fine Art Images
Winner and Audience Honor in Images, 18th Annual Shorty Awards

Luxury brands have no shortage of beautiful imagery. The harder challenge is making people stop scrolling long enough to remember who created it.
When every brand has access to stunning locations, polished production, and aspirational lifestyles, looking expensive isn't much of a differentiator. The opportunity is to create something people haven't seen before.
The Tension: When everything looks luxurious, how do you stand out?
For heritage luxury brands, cultural relevance requires a delicate balance. They need to evolve with how audiences consume content without abandoning the visual identity that makes them recognizable.
St. Regis had an opportunity to turn its World Snow Polo Championship sponsorship into something bigger than event coverage: a distinctive visual world that could travel well beyond Aspen.
The Creative Heist: Make the familiar feel unexpected
St. Regis partnered with photographer Tony Kelly to create four fine-art images inspired by Snow Polo in Aspen.
Rather than rely on predictable luxury imagery, Kelly leaned into visual contrast: a high heel on horseback, an elaborate dinner table against a snowy landscape, and cinematic scenes that brought together sport, fashion, and winter glamour.

The images were designed to surprise. They retained the polish associated with St. Regis while introducing the kind of unexpected compositions that invite a second look and a share.
The collaboration extended across Instagram through still photography and Reels, turning a seasonal sporting event into a collection of visual assets with a life beyond the championship.
Across six posts, the work generated 6.1 million views, 430,000 engagements, and 4,260 shares. Reels delivered a 4.4% engagement rate.

The Takeaway: Beautiful isn't always memorable
In a category built on aspiration, another polished image rarely changes the conversation.
St. Regis used an unexpected creative perspective to make a familiar luxury setting feel fresh, distinctive, and worth sharing.
The question to steal for your next campaign: Are you showing people what they expect from your brand, or giving them something they haven't seen before?
