Nielsen is all about the numbers; but often our clients only see our numbers without regard for what goes into producing them. In addition to best-in-class data collection technology, the world's broadest coverage of consumer markets, and a multi-industry footprint, we have more talented, passionate people on the ground than any other measurement company on the planet (35,000+ in total). This campaign showcases our "people power" and tells the stories of the people behind our data.

Strategy and Execution

Through an interactive map and an ongoing series of short "behind-the-scenes" associate videos, we drive home the message that Nielsen provides best-in-class consumer and audience measurement by meeting shoppers and viewers wherever they areā€”from rural villages to bustling metropolises and everything in between, in 100+ countries around the world.

Our story is unique in terms of the area of the world we cover (90% of the world's GDP) and the variety of people we have working on data collection and analysis. We chose Instagram to host these stories and integrated them into a site for people around the world to see no matter which device they're using (laptop / desktop, tablet, or mobile).


Since launch, the site has received over 15,000 views (12,000 visits) and is a key tool for sharing our work across our global footprint.

Additionally, social posts to date have garnered over 1,800 likes and reactions.

Nielsen Around The World is used by our client service teams to enable sales and relationship conversations, by executives to bring to life the hard work behind our global footprint, by marketing and communications teams to reinforce our reputation, and by associates to share their company with friends and family.
