The brain is a complex organ that researchers and scientists are still discovering. Resources that provide verifiable brain health information are an indispensable tool for our audience of older adults and seniors. Our goal was to use digital media supported by online editorial content to amplify the unknown facts and information to targeted audiences with the aim to educate and inform about life-saving protocols and healthy habits for the brain.
Working with physicians and medical practitioners from around the nation, we focused on 4 key brain health concerns that impact our target audience. Each video identified public health issues and presented information to raise awareness for older adults.
In the first 5 months of launching, the Brain Health Resource Center, where the videos are hosted, has received over 1.16 million unique views. The videos have also been adapted to Spanish. They were published across several platforms, including our main AARP Facebook and AARP en Espanol pages that are home to over 2.3 million followers.
