Table Read is executive produced by Jack Levy (THE LOWER BOTTOMS, BATTLESTAR, AGENTS OF SHIELD), Shaan Sharma (THE CHOSEN, SAG), and Mark Knell (MTV), and features scripts from some of the most respected names in the industry, including Sonny Postiglione, Bobby Smith Jr., and Peter Lefcout, who have written hits like Vampire Diaries, Bloodline, Jason's Lyric, and Desperate Housewives.
So far we've released several heartfelt comedies, a thriller, and recently recorded a multi-generational saga tracking the triumphs and tragedies of a large, powerful Hungarian Jewish family during WWII. Our goal is not only for these diligent and talented writers to have their work heard (and hopefully brought to the big screen), but also for podcast listeners to connect to the scripts they identify with, or grow to feel more connected to their global community by hearing stories outside of their current sphere.
We select scripts just as any producers and studios would. We then cast with professional actors and assemble them all in a first class recording studio and let the magic happen. After production, we take the media into post and do a full finish with sound effects and music. The biggest challenge is finding scripts that will translate to an audio podcast...many are written with visual cues to lead the story, but we don’t have the luxury of creating a visual portion so the scripts we choose need to fit the guidelines of a podcast.
We launched our podcast in March of 2023 and since then it has remained consistently in Apple Podcast Fiction top 10! We recently hit 1 million downloads, and our podcast is gaining listeners weekly so the success is proven!
