Objectives

Farmer John has had deep connections to California since 1931. For Farmer John, it is essential to be firmly embedded within the community and actively engage in philanthropic endeavors to build its brand. Seeking support from rEvolution to lead a grassroots initiative within soccer and the LA’s Community, Farmer John understood the significance of partnering with LAFC, as it aligned with a key passion for supporting Los Angeles sports and celebrating and honoring the LA's community members who are making the world a better place.

Launched four years ago, the "La Familia" campaign emphasizes the integration of community partners as essential members. This year, the focus is on three carefully selected partners; Breese Foundation, PureGame, and Think Watts Foundation.

Throughout the past three years of "La Familia," and particularly this year, rEvolution, Farmer John, and its community partners have shared a common goal – social commitment. Together, we strive to make a positive impact on the community by actively engaging in initiatives that address the needs of underserved populations and strengthen a family’s foundation. By working together with their partners, Farmer John aims to create a legacy of support and collaboration, fostering a sense of unity and empowerment within the community.

Strategy and Execution

Farmer John's commitment to giving back to the community is deeply ingrained in their roots. Through collaborations with organizations like LAFC and rEvolution, they have formed a strong network of community partners dedicated to supporting underserved populations in Los Angeles. With a shared goal of community outreach, their collective efforts aim to make a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.

In collaboration with LAFC, Farmer John has established a strong partnership aimed at supporting underprivileged communities through local community programs. This year’s focus is primarily on providing growth opportunities for youth and families in these communities, with a special emphasis on utilizing soccer to achieve this goal.

One of the key elements of the La Familia program is the provision of season-long meal support, which not only offers delicious food but also incorporates local culture into the culinary experience. This infusion of fresh and flavorful Farmer John product adds a unique touch to the meal specials available, enhancing the overall community engagement.

In addition to the food truck initiative, Farmer John also offers ticket bank utilization to their community partners. Each community partner receives ten tickets to one of the matches, allowing them to experience the excitement and camaraderie of a live soccer event. During this same match, we took the opportunity to recognize our community partners by highlighting an episode of the popular LA Familia series on the giant Videoboard at BMO Stadium. This on-field recognition serves as a platform to highlight the valuable contributions of the community partners and their dedicated work.

Furthermore, as part of the partnership, Farmer John collaborates with community partners to create engaging and informative content videos. These videos highlight the incredible initiatives undertaken by our partners and help raise awareness about the vital work they do. By sharing their stories and accomplishments, we hope to inspire others and encourage greater support for the causes they champion.

Recognizing the importance of financial assistance, Farmer John also contributes with a monetary donation to each community partner. This contribution serves as a direct investment in their programs and helps to further their impact within the underserved communities they serve.

Lastly, we believe in publicly acknowledging the significant efforts of our partnering foundations. During halftime at select matches, we conduct an on-field recognition ceremony where a giant check is revealed, symbolizing the financial support we provide to our partners. This moment serves as a powerful testament to our commitment and highlights the collective achievements we have made together.

In summary, the partnership between Farmer John and LAFC is dedicated to empowering underserved communities through a range of initiatives. By combining the love for soccer with community-focused programs, Farmer John creates positive change and provides growth opportunities for youth and families. Through their season-long food truck support, ticket bank utilization, on-field recognition, partner content videos, monetary donations, and on-field recognition at halftime, Farmer John makes a lasting impact and uplifts those who need it most.

Results

La Familia’s success is gauged by the impact we have on the community. Through our innovative food truck initiative, we provide an average of 350 meals at each La Familia event, serving as a beacon of support for the community.

Our primary indicator of achievement is the knowledge that the community can rely on the steadfast efforts of La Familia. With this campaign, we have witnessed a transformative power taking root. Each meal served is a step towards building a stronger community. By making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need, we are enhancing the overall well-being and resilience of the community.

Our impact extends beyond the immediate provision of meals. We are cultivating a space where individuals can gather, connect, and engage with one another. La Familia events have become a vibrant hub, fostering relationships and empowering community members to support each other.

Our commitment to social responsibility is unwavering, as evidenced by the sustained success of our food truck initiative. We continuously seek opportunities to expand our reach and positively influence more lives. The dedication and enthusiasm of our team, combined with the unwavering support of the community, have been instrumental in achieving our goals.

Through the rEvolution and Farmer John partnership, our social responsibility campaign has made a profound impact on the community resulting in over $100,000 being donated since 2020. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating a better, more caring world.
