VOSS Donates More Than 700,000 Bottles of Water to COVID-19 Relief

Entered in Emergency Relief

Objectives

When the coronavirus pandemic sparked an international public health emergency and what’s become the largest global health crisis of our time, medical first responders and essential workers all over the world were called upon to step up in new and unprecedented ways. As an independent company without the funding to offer significant monetary support like many large corporations, VOSS looked for ways to leverage its means and its resources to support and help make an equally impactful and meaningful difference to those putting their personal health on the line to keep the rest of us safe.

Aside from being important for everyday health and well-being, proper hydration plays a critical role in many different body functions including immune support, fighting off infection and improving cognition -- all of which are especially critical to essential workers who are working longer hours and fighting the coronavirus pandemic on frontlines. With readily available bottled water amongst the most requested items by medical first responders and a critical resource throughout the pandemic, VOSS made it the company’s priority to answer the call.

Strategy and Execution

Leveraging product inventory, supply chain resources, staff and partners, VOSS launched a global effort to provide more than 700,000 bottles of readily available bottled water to hospitals, healthcare facilities and multiple organizations providing relief efforts in coronavirus hot spots throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France and the United Kingdom. With a new product launch originally scheduled during the pandemic when hydration and readily available bottled water was critical, VOSS shifted its plans in order to prioritize product and shipping resources to hospitals and relief organizations who needed it most.

The company also recruited longtime VOSS loyalist turned equity partner Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as well as more than 100 high profile celebrities, athletes, musicians and brand fans including Kris Jenner, Don Cheadle, Leslie Jordan, Kate Beckinsale, Don Lemon, Andy Roddick, Matt Bomer, Michelle Visage, Madison Chock, Evan Bates, Nick Carter among others to assist with the effort -- all of whom donated their time and their platforms to provide personal shipments and messages of gratitude to healthcare heroes and relief organizations in various hot spots across the globe working tirelessly to fight the pandemic on the frontlines.

To assist individuals and families in need, VOSS also launched an Instagram effort offering ‘Clean Care Packages’ containing cases of VOSS water and a supply of redistributed hand sanitizers originally procured for company events.
