TikTok wants to inspire and encourage a new generation to have a positive impact on the planet and those around them. In 2021, TikTok relaunched the @TikTokForGood account to highlight the inspiring organizations and individuals using the platform to activate supporters, raise awareness and drive donations for the causes they care about and support. Now, with over 37 million views, @TikTokForGood has elevated a range of causes, from environmentalism to animal welfare to mental health.

In 2021, TikTok and ATTN: set @tiktokforgood in motion, a channel that curates and uplifts social good trends and creators rooted in purpose. Publishing four TikToks per week, TikTok For Good has become the platform’s social global impact hub that amplifies creator voices and elevates non-profits driving meaningful impact across the world.

Celebrities and public figures also participated in monthly livestreams to drive awareness and donations to causes close to their hearts: Jaden Smith, Bill Nye, Tan France, Priyanka, Simmi Singh, Carson Kressley, Bob the Drag Queen, and Miss Peppermint.


Since April 2021, ATTN: has powered the TikTok For Good channel with content that connects our audience with people doing good and ideas driving purposeful change on TikTok. The channel has exceeded benchmarks and captures the imagination of a purpose-oriented audience on and off platform every day. 

In the four months following the relaunch, @tiktokforgood’s following has grown 74x, delivered 37M video views globally, and garnered over 2.9M engagements. Daily content has averaged 7.86% engagement rate (ER) overall, exceeding our 5% ER benchmark.

@tiktokforgood’s original editorial content has also inspired users to create their own social good content on the platform. Since April, users have posted 530 new TikTok creations using @tiktokforgood original sounds, stitches, and duets, garnering over 29M video views. Furthermore, the @tiktokforgood relaunch has increased usage of #TikTokForGood on platform by 6x with over 60M video views to date.

The @glasshalffullnola TikTok was a top performing spotlight that truly conveyed the impact that creators and nonprofits can have when using the TikTok platform. This TikTok has garnered over 375K video views, delivered a 33% video completion rate (VCR), and driven an 8.71% engagement rate (VCR).

Finally, monthly TikTok LIVEs have provided moments of interaction and education with the TikTok For Good community and key creators. These livestreams have averaged 226K unique viewers.
