More than a conversation, The OUTThinking Investor podcast weaves together interviews with PGIM experts and high-profile guests from the investment industry and academia to craft a sophisticated, entertaining, and informative narrative that is intended to educate and elevate institutional investor knowledge of the global capital markets.
Through topics as diverse as stagflation, deglobalization, and rising energy prices, the podcast showcases PGIM’s unparalleled breadth of investment experts to help institutional investors understand financial history and its implications for today’s investment landscape, present-day opportunities, and future investment possibilities.
To magnify its reach, each episode is promoted on all major listening platforms (e.g., Apple, Spotify, Google, etc.) and receives its own branded webpage, launch email, and custom social media posts, which include a dynamic audio excerpt from a guest in the episode.
The team determined investment themes and topics and invited guests and PGIM speakers who were experts in the fields to participate for each podcast episode. Each guest was recorded during individual interviews designed to elicit casual conversations. Selected “sound bites” from each speaker were selected and arranged to help form a cohesive story for each episode, hosted by a narrator. Post-production then edited in sound effects to draw in the listener and connect to the tone of the content.
With more than 40,000 unique downloads and reach beyond the U.S. (more than a thousand downloads from the United Kingdom, Germany and Australia), Season 2 exceeded expectations in its goal to increase brand awareness, elevate the reputation of PGIM’s experts and position PGIM as a thought leader. Each episode in the season has consistently beat the preceding episode’s download total, demonstrating its success in attracting, retaining, and engaging listeners.
The success of The OUTThinking Investor’s second season has led to the development of Season 3, which launched its first episode in February 2023.
