Paramount+’s “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” serves as a spin-off of “Star Trek: Discovery.” The series follows the intergalactic exploits of Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the starship Enterprise in the decade before the events of “Star Trek: The Original Series.” For the first time, viewers can see the younger Pike, Spock, and Number One boldly go where no one has gone before.
The objective of the teaser key art images was to give viewers a sense of the scale of the “Strange New Worlds” while also offering a glimpse at immediately recognizable imagery from the storied franchise’s illustrious past.
Paramount+ designed a pair of striking key art teasers to promote “Strange New Worlds.” The eye-catching artwork showcases a gorgeous desert vista with two massive celestial bodies hanging in the sky. When the images are studied closely, a futuristic cityscape can also be seen in the back right center of the image. In the middle stands a lone figure riding horseback. Eyes are immediately drawn to the presence of the legendary starship USS Enterprise that hovers directly in the center.
Paramount+’s teaser key art convinced both fans and new viewers that “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” was worthy of their time. The series went on to receive accolades from the Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards and the Saturn Awards. The series also scored an impressive 99% approval score on the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes.
