On his adventures into MAGA country, Jordan Klepper encounters some of the more imaginative, conspiratorial minds America has to offer. In “Jordan Klepper Fingers the Conspiracy,” a six-episode limited podcast series, Jordan steps off the trail to dig deep into some of the wildest theories he’s heard, and trace their origins with journalists, experts, and anyone who might have a lead on when JFK Jr. is coming back. The podcast offers an opportunity to better understand some of the most extravagant stories Americans tell themselves.
Our series is derived from the widely successful and Emmy-nominated “Jordan Klepper Fingers the Pulse” segments and specials that have aired on Comedy Central over the last seven years. We wanted to translate Jordan’s unique/hysterical interview style on the campaign trail into the audio spaces. We also wanted to give Jordan more time and the right guests to discuss some of the most outrageous myths he’s come across. Our amazing podcast producing team of Matt Negrin and Justina Quagliata researched numerous topics, guests, experts and journalists who could honestly break down these conspiracy theories, their historical context and their sometimes dangerous potential to sway susceptible minds.
Once the topics and guests were selected for the six-episode limited run, it was a mad dash to outreach and get everyone confirmed for the show. Our series was also remotely recorded and we needed to ship podcast equipment kits (microphone, web-camera and headphones) to our various guests ranging from in Los Angeles to all the way in Ireland. We also had to contend with schedule conflicts, last-minute guest dropouts and other logistical production challenges that threaten to bring the entire series to a screeching halt. Despite these various obstacles, we produced six incredibly compelling episodes with the help of our amazing post production team.
Over the course of its limited run, “Jordan Klepper Fingers the Conspiracy” offered an in-depth look at many wild and crazy political conspiracies and examined how they can be manipulated to adversely affect our country’s democratic stability. Jordan also provided his trademark wit and sense of humor to each episode, making each interview fun and enlightening. Since its release in November of 2022, the series has been a top hit on various podcast platforms including Apple, IHeart and Spotify. Each episode has over 100K+ (and counting) downloads, with particular episodes such as “Is JFK Jr. Still Alive?” and “Hunter Biden’s Laptop” garnering millions of views on YouTube. Most recently, the series was featured on Variety’s “Best New Podcasts of 2022”.
