When HVAC Direct was looking to build their eCommerce site, they looked into several options without finding a definitive solution to fit their business’ needs. As a business that allows customers to buy HVAC systems and equipment for their homes directly from them, as opposed to a wholesaler, HVAC Direct’s business model is unique. As they offer a wide-range of heating/cooling parts, systems, and even fireplaces, their eCommerce site would require more customization, more product attributes, integrations, and a tie-in to their ERP and CRM systems to be successful. Their end goal was to have a user-friendly site, along with a great user experience for their customers.
As HVAC Direct researched eCommerce solutions, they hired a Senior Manager of eCommerce to help spearhead their project. During their research, they found 121 and worked with us extensively on finding the right solution for their business. During this project, HVAC Direct worked with our design and development teams to create their site, and to ensure a great user experience was crafted. It was important for them to have the equipment they offer differentated in the navigation. They also wanted to ensure that from a business standpoint their platform met their business' needs too.
Overall, both HVAC Direct and 121eCommerce are extremely happy with this build and the user experience. From a business standpoint, HVAC Direct noticed an increase in sales due to the streamlined, clear, experience.
