Objectives

House of Highlights (HoH) is designed to connect and deliver content for the next generation of sport fans.

Fans come to HoH because it is known for delivering sports content in a way that speaks the language of the fans, captures unique moments better than the competition and provides a consistency that the audience can rely on. With media rights of various premier sport leagues like the NBA, MLB, NHL and college sports, HoH is able to deliver premium sports content across the various platforms the Gen-Z audience resides.  

Whether it be a highlight from Lebron, a last second buzzer beater during the Final Four or simply a viral user-generated clip of a kid dunking on someone twice their size, HoH has leveraged sports in a way that not only celebrates the biggest stars on the biggest stage, but also the impact sports has on everyone in our everyday lives.   

 

Strategy and Execution

As part of the Warner Bros. Discovery Sports family, House of Highlights has access to the leagues that fans gravitate to the most: NBA, MLB, NHL and the NCAA. Even with this access, the brand strategy for each isn’t the same depending on the social platform. 

From NBA All-Star Weekend to the NHL Winter Classic, HoH is able to leverage its relationship with these leagues to form package creative content that is shared and connects with its audience across various platforms on social media. 

But House of Highlights has made a significant shift in its content strategy, by leveraging the current creator economy to package and deliver sport content in a whole new way.  

This is best represented by its creation of a new sport league, developed specifically for a digital audience -- “Creator League”. The “Creator League” brings together the internet’s biggest stars together to compete on a grand stage in various competitions throughout the HoH athletic calendar.  

Now with the addition of this new league, House of Highlights has become a one stop shop place for fans to consume the traditional sporting content they’re accustomed to as well as the ever engaging and innovative sport content stemming from the “Creator League”.  

Results

House of Highlights is the #1 brand on social for young sports fans with 62.6M cross-platform followers and 27.77B views in 2022. Its launch of Creator League has led to 500+ million views, 1.3+ billion views and 1.4+ billion views on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram respectively.
