We provide food, medical attention, shelter and education for Ukrainians devastated by war.
Main idea behind our work is to bring hope to most difficult places in Ukraine. In 2022 we provided over 50 miliion meals, over 1300 refugee families received shelther and around 600 civilians were rescued from warzone to safety in Ukraine. This year we plan do double our impact. Through our social media platforms and extensive network of volunteers on the ground each and every day throusands of people are being helped in Ukraine. We are providing daily updated on our website http://hfu.org as well as 3-4 updates each day on social media to make sure all our followers and donors know exactly what is being done on the ground each and every day.
Use of social media and in particular Facebook has played a key role in our work. When war started on 02/24/22 our reach through facebook was around 25k people per month. At the end of 2022 our reach was 2.4m per month. Because of our marketing approach on Facebook we were able to share story of Hope For Ukraine with millions of people all around the word. We have followed 3-4 update rule each day and that have grown our engagements, audince as well as fundraising through FB.
We have introduced new innovation by providing daily updates on our website to all our constituents, this way everyone knows what impact they are making in Ukraine through their donations to HFU.
In July our page was attacked by pro-russian bots that caused some features to be disabled on our page. During these challenging times we did not give up but redirected our attention to other social media platforms as well as our website to make sure we continue communicating about our work with our audince while FB issue being resoled.
Family Support project is our biggest project through which we feed millions in Ukraine. Each food giveaway we had in Ukraine was captured on photo and video with final multimedia product being uploaded to facebook and other platforms same day for all our followers to be right there expereincing everything almost in real time.
With only 2 full time employees we were able to organize all operations here in USA as well as put together army of 100+ volunteers on the ground in Ukraine.
In 2022 we had honor to be rated as 4 stars charity by Charity Navigator https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/811401967
They have also picked Hope For Ukraine as the only small size nonprofit among 47 highly rated charities in Ukrainian-Russian Crisis category.
By using FB to constantly communicate with our followers we were able to raise almost 50% of total revenue for 2022 on Facebook. Our page has become a hub for help to thousands of Ukrainians that need food, clothing, shelther or medical attantion. Each and every message is being answerd and those who reach out to us for help are being helped. With almost 100k followers now our page has become a great tool to help millions struggling in Ukraine as well platform to keep those who follow us up to date on what is hapenning on the ground.
