Since Black Friday became one of the most successful periods to drive conversions & sales for most of the brands and companies, our small in-house marketing team decided to create a video ad to present the Black Friday deal for a smart vehicle assistant – OBDeleven. The main goal – to create eye-catching content communicating passion for cars. With limited resources and a small budget, we tried to do something unique to attract new customers – car enthusiasts and daily drivers.
To create a mystical mood and maintain the association with black color – Black Friday and black OBDeleven device - and we filmed our ad during the nighttime. The performance of fire dancers’ was chosen as the main video highlight with a goal to intrigue and grab attention. Referring to the automotive products and target audience – car enthusiasts – the main action took place next to the vehicles. The product was showcased while retaining the core video idea – lighted up in the dark when connected to the car.
We shared the video and ran ads across Facebook, YouTube & Google advertising platforms for only 48 hours to create urgency for the niche product audiences: owners of Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, and Skoda vehicles.
