Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 2 - Swag Machine

Objectives

When Jersey Shore Family Vacation returned for a second season, the cast was heading to one of the places our fans were dying to see them live it up – Las Vegas. Since this was a new location for the show, we wanted to come up with a digital activation that felt fresh and like the perfect intersection of Jersey Shore and Sin City.

Strategy and Execution

To lean into the hype, we created an immersive digital experience our fans could use to escape along with the cast, as they have for so many years now. We launched Jersey Shore Swag Machine – an online slot machine that fans could play every Jerzday (while the cast was in Las Vegas) – where fans could spin to win Jersey Shore swag and show off their love of the show. The bespoke slot machine was uniquely Jersey Shore, with icons ranging from pickles (Snooki's favorite snack) to watermelons (in honor of Ron Ron Juice) and customized Gifs from the show to help celebrate your winnings (or ease the pain of your loss!). Fans were able to share Jersey Shore content on their social media in order to win extra spins to keep the party going, and jackpot winners got exclusive Jersey Shore merch!

Results

Over the first six episodes of the season (when the cast was in Vegas), we saw over 40,000 spins, 500 jackpot winners, and 346 hours of fan engagement on our site, with an active session averaging almost two minutes. The social sentiment on the site was incredible, with fans sharing their obsession with the game and their excitement over winning official show merchandise.
