Entered in LGBTQ Community Engagement

About this entry

Indigo Development and Entertainment Arts, along with Donut and the Duplass Brothers, aimed to produce a series for Snapchat's Snap Originals initiative that spoke to and for, embraced, and empowered the LGBTQ youth.

Why does this entry deserve to win?

We produced Co-Ed - a series about Ginny (female) and Chris (male), two college freshmen living together in a co-ed dormitory. We follow Ginny and Chris as they question, explore, and accept their respective sexual identities. Knowing how many young (LGBTQ) people are on the Snap platform, we positioned and projected our characters as any typical college freshman looking for love, not in stereotypical or cliché ways.

Co-Ed is a series where in which the lead characters are young LGBTQ individuals, and depict same-sex pairings in a fun, funny, honest, and heartwarming ways. This combination is a rarity on ANY platform, and we are proud of this achievement.
