About the Elevate Creatives Fund


In May 2023, Wave and the Shorty Awards launched the Elevate Creatives Fund to help remove financial barriers for creatives, so they can break the Internet—not the bank. The inaugural fund received over 500 high-quality applicants, from podcasters to poets to mental health activists and artists.

The six recipients of this inaugural fund, totaling $120,000 USD, were announced at the live Shorty Impact Awards in November 2023. Each received $20,000 alongside personalized bookkeeping and accounting coaching from Wave's in-house experts to help take their businesses to the next level.
