2013 marked the birth of Instagram Video, bringing static images to life in 15 seconds of video shared on the social web. By adding a video feature, the mobile platform allowed for unprecedented capturing and sharing of stories. Journalists were first on the scene of breaking news events, sharing the worlds top stories with audiences instantly. Celebrities used it to provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their star-studded life and break news to their fans before any media outlet. And lastly, stop motion rose in popularity as one of the singular ways to express artistic creativity on social media. Now you can nominate your favorites in the brand new Shorty category, #InstagramVideo, presented in partnership with A&E.
To be eligible for a nomination, all Instagram Videos must have been captured in 2013.
