Design Quixotic is the realization of one the imaginary worlds inhabited by Brooklyn-based designer and art director, Thea Kennedy. So…what’s in a name? Quixotic, by definition is, “foolishly impractical, especially in the pursuit of ideals, marked by rash, lofty, romantic ideas or extravagantly chivalrous actions." What goes into the creation of beautiful things, if not the pursuit of ideals and appreciation of lofty, romantic ideas over practical matters, or for that matter, matter at all? The concept defines Kennedy’s aesthetic, too…more quirky than conforming, a little irreverent (even leaning toward rebellious) and sometimes unpredictable, but always inspiring.
