Learn More about Chelsea Stark
I'm Mashable's one and only gaming reporter, based in New York. I care about great journalism, creative storytelling and all things gaming and geek culture. I've spent the last 9 years working in news, but a passion for new tech and storytelling has always driven me to incorporate new tools into my reporting. Social media is the best way to inform my audience, but also get information from them, and I'm always excited about the dialog. Covering gaming well means covering its culture, and you can only do that by being an active listener and participant online. At Mashable, it's been fun to grow our gaming coverage and play with all the social tools to tell stories in new ways.
How do you or your organization use social media? What makes your use unique?
Mashable is known for being great at social media, and its gaming coverage exemplifies that strength. Chelsea has been involved with social media since news outlets first began embracing Twitter and Facebook, so bringing that experience to a hyper-connected vertical like gaming was a natural fit. Chelsea tries to test every new tool and platform for fun ways to inform Mashable's readers, or give them a peek behind the scenes of the world of gaming. Whether it's at conventions like E3 or PAX, or during the launches of new gaming consoles or big titles, trying to incorporate the most fun and interactive tools is the best part of the job.
