Not one to shy away from controversy, the former Governor of Minnesota, wrestler, actor and Navy SEAL offers his electrifying insight into the nation's most pressing problems daily on social media & also on his new show "Off The Grid" on Ora TV. No suits, no censors, no red tape. Just Jesse Ventura as we like him, bold, brazen and bare-knuckled teaching us all to #stayvigilant.
I’ve dedicated my life to disclosing the truth to the American people. I want to see educated, vigilant, and informed voters. There are many issues that matter and they affect all of us – regardless of political party, ethnicity, or religious beliefs. I was a mayor and a governor and I never accepted lobbyist money, PAC money, or bribery from special interests groups. I’ve successfully stayed out of the two party system. Because I’m non-partisan, I challenge all politicians who threaten our basic freedoms: the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I use social media every day to expose government wrongdoings and encourage all citizens to stand up for what they believe in. Through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and now my online show, I am giving the people what they want: an outlet to speak their minds and learn those important issues that mainstream media isn’t taking the time to research. If I do run for president in 2016, then the way I am connecting with the public right now proves I am genuinely concerned about the direction this country is headed and that I am serious about getting us back on track.
How do you or your organization use social media? What makes your use unique?
Jesse Ventura is all about opening the conversation & discussing anything & everything with his fans - no censors & no red tape. Because of this Jesse's team dedicates a weekly segment of "Off The Grid" to Jesse's fans with curated questions from social media in a segment he calls "From The People." In addition his team crowd-sources images, articles & quotes that inspire us to #StayVigilant across Jesse's social networks & blog. Our use of social media is unique because it truly is for the people, by the people allowing Jesse's passionate fan base to participate in "Off The Grid" discussions & help shape Jesse's new show.
