It’s a simple premise, really—Photoshop comedic titles onto everyday paperback books, based on the ridiculous cover illustrations. And yet it took Paperback Paradise (“The world’s #1 used book store”) until 2016 to start posting their hysterical takes on old Hardy Boys adventures, The Boxcar Children, and every paperback in between. A seemingly banal Sweet Valley Twins cover with lily-white characters near a school bus becomes “Privilege Trip” and a Goosebumps vampire emerging from a coffin is now “Welcome to Tinder.” Never one to shy away from more explicit interpretations, @paprbckparadise quickly collected over 130K followers on Twitter, changing the way we look at our bookshelves forever.
