A fake Australian reality show meets a Food Network parody, The Katering Show follows “food intolerant" Kate McCartney and “intolerable foodie" Kate McClennan through angry, raunchy, screamy romps in the kitchen—sometimes they cook, but often they’re fielding questions from their audience or devolving into personal dramas. The duo uploads episodes to their Lead Balloon TV YouTube channel—along with their melodramatic comedy series Bleak—which has given them international acclaim, including a Best of Fest nod in 2015 from the New York Television Festival. They’ve also taken a leap into broadcast, inking deals with Australian Broadcasting Corporation, but continue to release whip-smart, subversive Katering teasers when they’re on hiatus.
