My name is Dana Herlihey. I'm a 30 year old Social Media Manager. I've been working in digital content production for 15 years, and Skellie (omgliterallydead) is the first project I've created and managed on my own. Omgliterallydead is a hobby account that started on a whim and quickly snowballed, earning over 200K international followers in just two weeks. I've discussed the account with international press - from the US, to Japan, to Brazil, to the Netherlands, and the UK. Omgliterallydead has become a worldwide hit. The character Skellie loves emojis and selfies, has been an intern for 5.5 years, and can't seem to hold down a boyfriend. She sounds like your average girl with one small exception: she's a plastic skeleton. Each photo with Skellie requires research and set up. One photo can take anywhere from 3 minutes to 2 hours to create. The intent is to capture Skellie in such a way that she appears to be an average Instagrammer, sharing her 'life' through social media.
